Day 10 - Cruise Phase

WOW - thought the scales were broken this morning!
Trudy 10st 8.25 lbs - lost 3.25 lbs - Total loss 7.75lbs
Richard 19st 8lbs - lost 6.25lbs - Total loss 12.25lbs

What a result.  Not sure what we did yesterday but whatever it was it paid off.  Good day today with vegetables & protein.  Really enjoyed my food today but felt really full. Just had our oat bran porridge, bit late really, but it staves off the hunger pangs in the night for sure.  I've been to zumba, hence the late supper and really worked my ass off tonight.  All in all am very pleased with how it is going.

Breakfast - Turkey rasher, scrambled egg, mushrooms, tomato
Lunch - Courgette & leek soup (home made), roasted peppers, salmon fillet.  Rich also had some tuna.
Afternoon snack - yoghurt
Tea - Beef stew, slow cooked.  Steak, aubergine, onions, carrots (just a few), butternut squash.  Served with asparagus
Supper - oatbran porridge.

Water, diet coke, tea.

Exercise - Rich walk round field.  Trudy 1 hour zumba class.

Day Three - Attack Phase

Trudy - couldn't weigh this morning as I was in a hotel
Richard - 20stone 6.25lbs - stayed same

Well I managed to overcome my daily challenge of the hotel.  I did mean to get up and go to the gym this morning at 7am, but unfortunately the temptation of a lie in got the better of me!  Breakfast was very limited as no cold meats available so I just stuck to a portion of scrambled egg and a cup of tea.  I expect the eggs had butter and milk in but what can you do when thats all thats there.  The choice was bacon, or fried eggs, so I thought the scrambled was the least damaging option.  Lunch was a challenge too as I went out with my new team.  Again not much on the menu so I opted for the peri peri chicken and chips, without the chips.  The waitress looked at me agast and offered me a salad, but I stuck to my guns and said no just the chicken please.  It was actually really nice and I ate it really slowly so that I wouldn't have to sit there and watch my colleagues eat their pizza!  Rich is struggling a bit, with feeling a bit light headed at times, so I think he needs to fill the gaps with some food.  I guess its a bit of trial and error.  Matt did well and lost 4lbs the first day!  Why is it so hard when you get older, its not fair.

Day two -Attack Phase

Trudy 1 1st 1.75lbs Weight lost .25lbs
Richard stayed the same

Well hardly dramatic weight loss but it's only been a day! Typical me always impatient. I've found it ok although did struggle a little with eating ham during a 121 with my boss. Then had some chicken with cottage cheese which I can't really say I enjoyed much. I had the pathway porridge this morning which again I can't say was amazing, I preferred the gallery's which we had yesterday which was lush, but am away in a hotel tonight so not able to have my oat bran. I have been good though and bought food on the way down and have been in the pool tonight. I can't pretend I swam all the time but did do some sweating in the sauna so hope that counts he he. Did about 15 min worth of swimming too.

Day One - Attack Phase

Trudy weighed in at 11stone 2 lbs
Richard weighed in at 20stone 6.25lbs

Well we have managed to get through day one without too much of a problem.  Actually quite enjoyed it.  Rich has been very positive.  We even managed to go to the cinema and avoid all the chocolate that we normally have.  Feeling thinner already! :)

Matthew joined in too, but think he found it a bit harder than we did!

Breakfast
Turkey rashers and omelette
Coffee

Lunch
Lean ham, cottage cheese, pickled onion

Dinner
Chilli & coriander prawns, roast beef with a bit of reduced beef stock
Yoghurt

Just about to have our oatbran, and am going to try this as a pancake with a little sweetner and a splash of lemon juice.

Exercise
Walked two fields with the dog - both of us! (approx 20 mins)

Lots of water!

Challenge of the day
Well my challenge tomorrow is going to be how to cope with being in a hotel.  Think I will buy prawns and cooked chicken and yoghurt on my way down, and then hotel brekkie, scrambled egg & a yoghurt.  Will be shop bought lunch so will probably be going for the same!  Wont be able to weigh on Tues morn either.  Will be glad to get back.

Hope Rich copes without me!

Day One -1

Well its the day before we are going to start our diet.  The shopping is done, and cost a fortune!  Its all healthy protein though, and I am starting to look forward to it.  Richard seems determined and he loves meat & fish so the first few days should be ok.  Even Matt is joining in for a few days.  I've done plenty of exercise this week, and also cut down and have already dropped 5lbs, from my 11.7.25lbs on return from holiday.  I've never put on that much on hols before, just shows what a good time we had!  So we will start with the big weigh in tomorrow, watch this space for our progress.

Daily challenges: - Starting on a Sunday, I'm already thinking about the fact that I wont be having veg, roast spuds or gravy.  If we can get through that we can get through anything!
